- March - SCASL Conference 2008 (presentation and poster session)
- April – My twitter tweetcloud, the beginning and the end for several things…
- May – Quiet month—preparing for upcoming summer presentations
- June – NECC 2008, SCASA Summer Leadership Institute, Greenville’s Upstate Tech Conference (all these presentations can be viewed under my presentation material tab)
- July – Family TIME! I also spent several days of July glued to my computer virtually attending BLC 2008
- August – Move my blog to my own domain (her) thanks to my friend Chris Craft; I get a new car–> Prius
- September – Inspiration to others – Shannon Dean Wham tweeted me to tell me he had begun his blog at Books, Bytes, and Grocery Store Feet
- October – Conferences and professional development that I helped organize or attended during this month: SC EdTech (a half day workshop presentation); SCASL’s Twilight Webinar, David Loertscher in Second Life compliments of AASL; DEN has a Halloween Party in Second Life, and a friend and I go (virtually)
- November – Active participation in Hollywood, FL at the 2008 SLJ Summit, Nomination for Best Library/Librarian Blog from Edublogs 2008 (2nd year in a row!)
- December - After a goofy comment I inadvertantly posted in the SCASL listserv, SCASL IT Committee (that includes me) created a social network ning that to date has 224 members; David Warlick in Second Life compliments of AASL
An Inspiration!
I must also compliment Diane Cordell for the inspiration for this post! Be sure to see hers! Also, if these pictures generate questions, feel free to ask them. It was just going to take way too long to link info above back to specific posts, but of course most are in the archives, easily navigated from my sidebar. In flickr, this image has notes on each photo. This is be no means all of the highlights, but its enough to write about.

My biggest surprise this year?
My 21 yo son coming home for Christmas break with a complete beard and mustache–I guess the northern climes of Chicago call for it.

Love your take on my idea! It’s so interesting to see what people consider significant in their lives. Probably the biggest change for us was my husband’s retirement in August. My turn next – but I won’t be leaving education, just participating in a different capacity.
Going to NECC and meeting you in person was certainly a highpoint on my year. Best wishes to you and your family in 2009!
Love the picture of u and ur kitten. Looks like she is posing for the camera in that “lounge” look.
