Dear ISTE 2011 – Can You Tweak the Planner?

Dear ISTE,
First thanks so much for providing an online planner so I can begin to plan out my days at your annual conference. The ability to see it as an itinerary, embedded in a calendar view, print it out hard copy, and have it emailed to me (and even friends) is absolutely genius on your part. It is very useful in all four formats.
But as usual, in my third draft of my planner I still have conflicts galore. No, not your fault, I know. I’m just indecisive. I will leave my conflicts in there probably right up untl the day of the sessions, making last minute decisions minutes before sessions actually happen. Sometimes I will choose one over the other due to interest in the topic, and other times I will choose a session over a conflict because I really like to hear that presenter. And still other times I will miss both because what is happening in the unconference environment (blogger cafe, informal networking in the various venues –exhibit hall, hallways, etc.) will capture my attention.
But the planner truly does help. Here is my suggestion for making it work better for me: Somewhere in all four formats, please include the presenter’s name. It will help me immensely as I weigh my options when conflicts will arise. With quick glance at any of the formats, I can see who is presenting, and won’t have t spend time going online using my phone or my laptop to weigh my decisions. I know I will have more conflicts as I continuously cruise through the offerings and add to my plannner. Surely this would help others too!
