And My 2010 Edublog Nominees are….
Nov 16th, 2010 by Cathy Jo Nelson
It’s time for nominations for the 2010 Edublog Awards. I hate to confess that I have not been as diligent in my reading. But nominees here are the ones that I find I MUST read (or watch, listen, click through) before clearing the reader with that ever favorite “mark all as read” option. One of them is not a blog, but rather has a Youtube channel that has a feed, so I count it here! You can see thumbnails of my nominations here.
- Best individual blog – Neverending Search by Joyce Valenza
- Best individual tweeter – @Larryferlazzo
- Best resource sharing blog – Richard Byrne’s Free Technology for Teachers
- Most influential blog post – “Listening to Teacher Voices” from Carolyn Foote’s blog Not So Distant Future written September 14, 2010
- Best new blog – Hardcore Librarian by Michael Giller
- Best teacher blog – Lisa Parisi’s Lisa’s Lingo
- Best librarian / library blog – Gwyneth Jones’ The Daring Librarian

- Best educational webinar series TL Virtual Cafe
- Best educational use of a social networking TL Chat in Twitter

You can nominate too, so look at and act on the following directions. (Note, you don’t have to nominate for every category.)
Step 1: Write a post on your blog linking to:
- The Edublog Awards Homepage
- The blogs & sites that you want to nominate (must be linked to)
You can nominate:
- For as many categories as you like,
- But only one nomination per category,
- A blog (or site) for more than one category
- Any blog or site you like but not your own blogs (sites)
Step 2: Email us the link to your nomination post
Use the form (on the Edublogs Awards home page) to contact us, please include a genuine email address (spam free, just in case we need to confirm identity) and the link to your nominations post.
You can’t submit your nominations without writing a blog post
Please note: You will receive an automated email reply when you successfully complete the contact form.

An important part of being an educator is self-reflection. Please take this opportunity to review your RSS feeds and social networking sites, determine what content has proven valuable to your life as a learner, and acknowledge those who have influenced your thinking in a positive way.
