I feel passionate about weaving technology into instruction - why?  Because it is where the students are.  If we are to reach students, we have to use their interests to do so.  As a NB Certified teacher, I learned (over and over) that learning must be made as real world as possible.  How can we NOT use technology?]]></description>

Library Media Specialists must be proficient in all aspects of their profession, both the book/reading/literature component and the information/communication/technology one.

If not proficiency, then at least familiarity, with modern tools and resources is mandatory.

Anything less is a disservice to the students and staff whose needs should be driving the library program.]]></description>
