I, too, am so excited to see SCASL embracing change and new technologies. I look forward to the Webinar and future events. Budget cuts are going to prove to be a deterrent to participation at the SCASL conference. Adding up conference fees and hotel, I'm looking at over $700 to attend this year. I hope to be reimbursed for some, if not all, of that; however, I'd pay out of pocket to attend, and have for much of my time as a working media specialist. I look at it as MY responsibility to continue learning regardless of what my school or district will contribute monetarily. I'm just thankful they give me the time off with pay! "See" you at the webinar! - Heather

Does this mean we can stream yours?? I wouldn't dare assume we could. The early plans are to choose 3 presenters from within SCASL to stream out, and then stream out the annual SCASL business meeting. What a catch if you said yes---stream mine too. Of course, this IS up to you. Your wishes are ours. It really is our hope that the MArch spring breezes will make you fall in love with SC, and then decide the east coast and South Carolina is where you want to be. We have mountains, valleys, beaches, and more, and don't forget we are but an 8 hour drive or so form DC (Next year's NECC), Orlando (I know you have cute grandkids who would LOVE Disney), and Nashville, TN. We are only a few hours from a day at the beach or a day in the mountains. Totally doable. And let's not forget beautiful and historic Charleston, SC. I hope our southern charm and hospitality brings you here PERMANENTLY. Let me know! I'll nominate you for SCASL president today, since they are now accepting nominations.
