Kangaroos have always been an issue in Australia. Most people who live in the country areas have large Roo or bullbars on their cars to protect themselves. It's also another reason why many drive 4WD vehicles in country areas. Many people have been killed as a result of hitting kangaroos. Unfortunately Roo bars are an issue in our cities as they are very dangerous to pedestrians.

@dswaters
I loved the kangaroo video on your flickr site. It sounds like kangaroos are a lot like white-tailed deer here in the south. They are just no longer afraid of people, and will graze right by a big highway, an some do get hit by cars. Mankind is invading their space more and more. Maybe you can hook me up with a class and we can have our kifds do a comparison of the two for fun.

@Tina,
I'm glad you like the personal part of my blog, as sometimes I feel guilty for including fluff or personal things. But it is all a part of what makes me-->ME.

@Bookjewel,
It is okay to hide behind the pretty avatar. You are still a wonderful contributer to Twitter and my blog. Maybe eventually you'll reveal your true identity. Thanks for being a part of my network.

Isn't Spring wonderful! It's a great time to reassess, reflect and redesign. We are experiencing Autumn 'downunder' but Spring is my favourite season. I think you're very brave to include a photo and I like the new one. I'm still hiding behind a blue jewel. I guess I'm shy.

After seeing your background image, and taking lots of photo's last week, I thought having a classic Aussie background would be cool. Make sure you check out my video of kangaroos on Flickr as well. Well my hubby's name is Dave and our email address is that combination. When I first ventured onto the web I grabbed the easy option and used that. Now I'm feeling conflicted. Twitter gives you the easy option to change usernames without losing followers but I'm not sure if I should do it. Feels almost like having a divorce.

Sue, I LOVE the 'roos!! How very aussie of you. Now each time I think of a kangaroo or Australia, I will smile and remember that cute Twitter page belonging to Sue Waters. BTW, what does D stand for in DSWaters?I have a sister named "Deborah Sue."

It's autumn here but I don't see any of this as a personal time waster. You've inspired me to fiddle with my background image as I've grown tired of the old one. So I've added some images of kangaroos that hopefully my International readers will appreciate. Plus changed my avatar (again + again). Meanwhile I'm still pondering if to change my twitter name to suewaters (that will be tomorrow's task maybe).
