You make some excellent points.  I think it comes down to the school as &quot;walled garden&quot; question.

As these tools become more and more ubiquitous, do we make ourselves obselete by walling them out?

Certainly, we can have safeguards, teach students good practices, and develop well-thought out policies as we allow students to bring new tools onto our campuses.

And there will be many positives and also difficulties we will have not thought out completely.  But if we work as a professional community to resolve them, I&#039;m sure that we can.
