My kids know they have to sign in and I tell them during orientation that standard speel: “You must have a pass to visit the library unless you are coming with a class. Put the pass in the box, and sign in. If you don’t sign in, you weren’t here! If your teacher (or the principal) asks and I don’t see your name, I have to say no – even if you were here and I spoke to you. I wont remember!”
