I’ve been dumped into this web2.0 world for almost exactly a month. I think twitter is the cat’s meow ;-) and I’ve stayed up entirely too late with k12online, playing with elluminate, convincing my brother and sister that they need webcams so we can skype with the cousins, even skyping a homebound student into my class… Yet I still feel as if I have light-years to go. I’ll be poking around your rss info, since that’s something that really stumps me in practicality…

I’m running into something of the same thing regarding 2.0 technology and ideas. I work at a fully one-to-one high school, and even there I’m finding quasi-Luddites. It seems like most people are satisfied to learn what they believe they need — and then stop. And some others, while not naturally resistant, are not naturally inquisitive enough to keep looking, and learning. It’s a bit frustrating.

Look me up — I’d like to share ideas.

I stumbled upon you by way of the K12 Online Conference. Was checking out who in SC was attending. I am a middle school instructional specialist in Greenwood SC and am trying to learn all I can about Web 2.0 tools. Hope that I may use you sometimes to bounce questions off of when I haven’t a clue what I am doing. I can’t seem to find anyone in my district who knows anything about these tools and the possibilities in the classroom. As I learn things I have been sharing with a couple of teachers at my school. They are excited as I am.
