I wonder why we, as humans, are so afraid of change and for making mistakes and afraid of asking for help? I am taking a class and we have been talking about the rapid change of technology and its use in education. We feel like there needs to be a big change but how do we get others on board. It is a long, slow process. I had a hard time with not getting immediate results. We must be persistant, dilligeant, and collaborate to guide and educate those making decisions for our district about this ever changing technological world and all its benefits.

You can't make people change. You can encourage, you can educate, and you can cajole, but as the saying goes: "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink." All we can continue to do is what is best for us and our own programs. It may seem mean, but eventually you just have to leave the rest behind - you can't hold their hand forever. On the flip side, until districts stop filtering and/or LMSers start putting their foot down, the listserv may be the only way for everyone to have access to the SCASL network from schools.
