We have saluted the top three, by listing them against their categories and providing badges for the top 3.  This, and the changes to how the results are displayed, are the reason why it took so long for us to post the final results.  If you check the award site you will see that.  Which is why we are really grateful to people like Cathy who has posted the initial results.

Regarding notification no it isn&#039;t normal practice.  This is Steve&#039;s first year involved with the Awards and I can understand with the Life Time achievement awards why he notified Karl.   He wasn&#039;t aware of the fact that we don&#039;t normally notify.

Another common criticism we get is that we should notifying all people who are shortlisted.  There&#039;s a lot of work involved with coordinating and managing the Edublog Awards; time-wise it isn&#039;t possible to email all shortlisted nominations.]]></description>
